His real name Minkada Franck Stéphane, Mink’s is a Cameroonian artist / rapper from the ACH4LIFE label. Mink’s is inspired by the facts of society and humorously describes what is going on around him.
Mink’s was born on August 19, 1991, in Cameroon. He is originally from the Eastern region. Based in Douala’s Bonamoussadi neighborhood, he began writing lyrics in 2008 and was noticed by rap-loving friends who encouraged him to enter rap competitions, including the Mboa Come Test and many others. Thanks to his voice, his writing, and his ease on stage, his reputation quickly grew on the local scene. He subsequently participated in several other local hip-hop competitions and initiatives, including Challenge Vacances, NSC3, AKDMY, MTN Make The Music, and Hip Hop Talent Search. These competitions allowed him to make a name for himself and gave him the opportunity to join the Ach4Life label.
Mink’s began his career in 2013 and released a mixtape titled I’m MIN that year. That same year, he participated in the Hip Hop Talent Search rap competition organized by Achille Djoumsie, the owner of the Ach4Life label, and was a finalist. He then signed to the Ach4Life label. In 2014, Mink’s released his first album, Ivoire noir, an 11-track album produced by Ach4life.
