I Ga Kèh: Yabongo Lova speaks the unfiltered truth on a striking new Zouglou track
This is one of two tracks from Yabongo Lova’s new maxi-single, unveiled to the press on July 23, 2026 at the Bissafa village in Yopougon. While the project’s first track leaned into Zouglou’s traditional roots, “I Ga Kèh,” a Bété expression meaning “That’s enough,” shifts gears entirely to tackle a sharper, more direct topic, built on arrangements by Marc Arthur. True to the spirit of Zouglou, the genre born in Ivorian university campuses to call out and narrate everyday life with humor and honesty, this track carries a raw, unfiltered message, staying true to the artist himself. Production is handled by Bissa.fa Évent, visuals by Tyger Cross, under Yabongo Lova’s own artistic direction. A track that proves Zouglou remains, to this day, one of Ivory Coast’s most sincere musical voices.
