If your heart spins like a yo-yo, this one’s for you! Joshua Baraka, Uganda’s afropop star, is back with “Yoyo”, released in August 2026 on MOVES Recordings. The song tells the story of a complicated romance, caught between attraction and uncertainty, and the moment you finally decide to take things further and turn that chemistry into something sincere. Joshua, who wrote and produced the track with Hendrick Sam, blends English, French, Swahili, Luganda and other languages, giving it a distinctly East African identity. His signature touch: an afropop and R&B vibe, warm guitars inspired by traditional Ugandan music, and hooks you’ll hum all day. “Yoyo” also previews his upcoming EP, “Recess 2”. A true pan-African favorite, perfect for dancing, dreaming and dedicating to whoever makes your head spin!
